Sweep & inspection
Caps & crowns
Masonry repairLevel 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed
Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
The Hadley Chimney Yonkers Guarantee
We’ve been cleaning and repairing chimneys in Yonkers since 2003, and in that time we’ve learned something that shouldn’t surprise anyone: a guarantee is only as good as the person willing to put it in writing. That’s why every repair we make carries a 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we make it right. The guarantee is written, not verbal. You get a copy before we leave. The second visit, if a repair fails within that year, is free. Not discounted. Not credited. Free. That’s the whole point of standing behind work in a city where hundred-year-old brick and clay liners keep every chimney company honest.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every repair, in writing. If the repair fails within 365 days, we schedule a free second visit and fix it. You don’t pay for labor, parts, or the trip back to your home.
- Cleanup before we roll the truck. Chase covers, drop cloths, and HEPA-filtered vacuums on every chimney sweep. If we leave a dust trail from the firebox to your front door, you call us and we come back to make it right, no charge.
- Arrival tracking that actually works. You get a live arrival window before the tech shows up. Not a four-hour guess. If the schedule shifts, you know before it does, not after. This is part of our Relay Visibility Guarantee, on every single job.
- A written price before any work begins. No exceptions. No “we found something extra” surprises at the door. You approve the price with a form on our tablet, and the work doesn’t start until you do.
- Before-and-after photo documentation. Every sweep and every repair includes camera evidence. If we say your flue had creosote (the flammable tar buildup that makes chimneys a fire risk), you’ll see the photo that proves it. If we say we swept it clean, you’ll see the after shot too.
- Parts and materials from brands chimney professionals actually use. DuraFlex liner systems, HeatShield ceramic repair compound, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield. We don’t stock “whatever’s cheapest on the truck.” If we install a part, it’s a part we’d put in our own flue.
- Background-checked, uniformed technicians. We’re not sending a stranger. You’ll know who is coming, what they’re driving, and when they’ll be there. We think that’s part of the guarantee too.

Our Satisfaction Promise
Here’s how our make-it-right process works, because “satisfied customers” language without a process means nothing. If something isn’t right after a sweep or repair, you call us at (914) 233-3156. A live person answers. Not an answering service, not a callback queue. You tell us what’s wrong. We schedule the fix. If it’s within the 365-day window on a repair we performed and the repair failed, the second visit is free. If it’s a cleaning that somehow missed a section of flue, we come back and re-do it. No invoice. No fine print about “customer must call within 30 days.” We hold ourselves to The Relay Standard, which means the burden of getting it right is ours, not yours. And for us, that’s the test of a business with 20-plus years behind it in Yonkers: we’re still here because we kept showing up when things went sideways. Not because they never did.
The practical reason this works: every job includes digital documentation. Photos, notes, and the written price you approved are all in the invoice. When you call about an issue, we pull up the file and know exactly what was done, when, and by whom. No he-said-she-said. No starting from scratch. We just fix it, fast.

AfterLicensed & Insured Backing
A guarantee on paper is only as strong as the business standing behind it. We carry the licensing and insurance a chimney company working in Yonkers should have: state-licensed, insured and bonded. If something goes wrong on the job site, you’re protected. If a repair doesn’t hold, the written guarantee means you’re not paying again. That’s the point of the paperwork, really. Anyone can print a warranty card. What actually protects a homeowner is a company that carries the proper coverage and a 20-year track record of showing up, doing the work, and staying in business to honor the guarantee. We’re that company.
Hadley Chimney Yonkers is proudly part of the Relay Home Co. family, an independently owned and operated local business held to The Relay Standard. That’s not a franchise sticker. It means every job includes the Relay Visibility Guarantee: live arrival tracking, before-and-after photo documentation, and a written price before work starts. On every visit, not just the big ones.
Common Questions About Our Guarantee
How long does the repair warranty last?
Every repair carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise. That’s a full year of coverage in writing. If the repair fails within 365 days, we return free of charge and fix it. The warranty term is 365 days, not “lifetime” language that dissolves the moment you try to use it. Specific, credible, and in writing.
What does the free second visit actually cover?
If a repair we performed fails within the 365-day window, the return visit is free. That includes labor, parts we need to redo the work, and our time. You don’t pay a service fee, a trip charge, or a diagnostic fee. We schedule it, we show up, we make it right.
Are cleaning visits covered by a guarantee?
Yes, under our satisfaction promise. If a sweep missed a section of flue or left a mess we should have caught, call us and we’ll return to make it right. No invoice. A chimney sweep isn’t a repair, so it doesn’t carry the 365-day written warranty, but the same standard of done-right applies. And our photo documentation means you’ll see exactly what we cleaned before you even ask.
Does Hadley Chimney Yonkers guarantee prices?
We guarantee the price before work starts, in writing. You receive a written price on our tablet before any work begins. You approve it or we don’t start. There are no surprise charges added at the door. If the scope changes mid-job because the camera inspection found something no one could have seen from the roof, we stop, show you the photo, and get a new written approval before proceeding. That’s how honest pricing works.
Why do you use camera inspection as part of the guarantee?
Because proof is the best guarantee. When we recommend a liner repair or tell you your flue has heavy creosote buildup, you should be able to see evidence on the spot. Our before-and-after photos are part of the Relay Visibility Guarantee. If we can’t show you the problem with a camera, we don’t expect you to take our word for it, and we won’t ask you to.
What happens if I call with a problem after hours?
A live person answers calls 24/7. You’ll reach a real human who can pull up your job file and start the process. We don’t route you to an answering service that takes a message and promises a callback. In a home with a potential chimney issue, we think that matters.
Does the guarantee apply to gas fireplace repairs too?
Yes. Any gas fireplace repair we perform carries the same 365-Day Done Right Promise. Same written guarantee, same free second visit if the repair fails, same photo documentation. Gas fireplaces may not produce creosote, but they can still develop ignition problems, thermocouple failures, and venting issues. The guarantee doesn’t care what fuel you burn.
Is Hadley Chimney Yonkers independently owned?
We’re independently owned and operated as part of the Relay Home Co. family. Our owner, Cory Mitchell, built Hadley Chimney Sweep from the ground up starting in 2003, and he still treats every job like his name is on the side of the truck. Because it is.
If you have a question about what our guarantee covers, or you’re ready to book a sweep, call us at (914) 233-3156. A real person will answer, and you’ll get a straight answer.
